Permanent staffing
A permanent staffing agency for your next full-time hire
You need someone who stays, and you don’t have a recruiter. We find the candidates, screen them and set up the interviews; you pick the person and put them on your payroll.
- U.S.-based, in business since 2017
- Recruiters already filling driver roles
- Fees agreed in writing up front
- Rules checked
What is permanent staffing?
Permanent staffing, or direct hire, means an agency finds and screens candidates for a full-time role, and the person you choose joins your payroll from day one. Digital Storming is a permanent staffing agency for U.S. small and mid-size businesses. We write the job brief, source and screen candidates, schedule interviews and support the offer. It suits owners and HR leads who have no in-house recruiter. Fees depend on the role and the kind of search, and every client gets a written quote before work starts.

Who it is for
Who our full-time hiring help is for
It fits a business that has outgrown asking around but isn’t big enough for its own recruiter. Permanent staffing is one of our HR and staffing services.
Owners who do the hiring
You run the business, and hiring lands on your desk between everything else. We take the sourcing and first screens off your plate.
Filling a brand-new position
Your first bookkeeper, first sales rep or first operations manager. We help you define the job before anyone is interviewed.
Replacing someone who left
A key person gave notice and the work is piling up. We start from what that person actually did, not from an old job post. If that person is still in the seat and nobody can know yet, use a confidential search.
Plenty of resumes, few fits
Your last job post brought in a pile of applications and almost no matches. We read them, screen them and send you a short list.
What is included
What a direct hire search includes
One role, one search, run from the first brief to the start date.
A job brief you sign off
We ask about the work, the schedule, the pay and the must-have skills, then put it in writing. Every candidate is measured against that page.
Job ads that stick to the job
We write and post the ad. Federal law bars ads that show a preference for, or discourage, applicants because of race, sex, age (40 or older), disability and other protected traits, so the wording stays on duties and skills. For wider outreach and one structured process across every role, see diversity and inclusion hiring.
Active sourcing
We don’t wait for applicants to show up. We look for people already doing this work and contact them, including people who aren’t job hunting. That widens the pool beyond whoever happened to see your post this week. If the job can be done from home, the search can run nationwide through remote staffing.
Screening calls and a short list
Each candidate gets a call about skills, pay expectations and start date. You see a short list with our notes, not a stack of resumes.
Interview scheduling
We book your interviews, send reminders and collect your feedback after each one, so good candidates don’t drift away while you’re busy.
References and the offer
We check references with the candidate’s permission, help you present the offer and stay in touch with the new hire until the first day. If the candidate has questions about the offer, we take them first and pass them on clearly.

Pricing
How a permanent staffing quote is worked out
Digital Storming has no price list for permanent staffing: the fee depends on the role and the kind of search, and you get it in a written quote before any work starts. The quote is based on:
- The role, its seniority and the pay range
- How hard the skills are to find, and where the person will work
- How much of the search we run: sourcing only, or brief to offer
- How soon you need someone to start
How it works
How our permanent staffing agency fills a role
Step 1: Brief call
We talk through the role, the team and what a good first year looks like. Then you receive a written quote for the search.
Step 2: Search
Once you approve the quote, we post the job, search for candidates and reach out to them. You get short updates on what we’re seeing as the search runs.
Step 3: Screen
We hold screening calls and check the basics, then send you a short list with notes on each person.
Step 4: Interview
You interview the finalists. We handle the scheduling, the follow-ups and keeping candidates informed.
Step 5: Hire
You choose and make the offer. The new hire joins your payroll, and we keep in touch through the start date.
Permanent Staffing FAQs
Permanent Staffing
What does a permanent staffing agency do?
A permanent staffing agency finds people for a job you want filled for good, screens them and introduces the strongest ones to you. The American Staffing Association calls this direct placement: the firm brings candidates and employers together to form a permanent employment relationship. You make the hire, and the person works for you, not for the agency.
Is direct hire the same as permanent placement?
Direct hire and permanent placement mean the same thing in everyday use. Both describe a search where the candidate becomes your own employee from the start. Temp-to-hire works differently: the person begins on a trial assignment and you decide later. Our temporary staffing page compares the two.
How much does a permanent staffing agency cost?
Digital Storming’s permanent staffing fee depends on the role and the kind of search. Finding a receptionist is different work from finding an operations manager. You see the full fee in a written quote, and no work starts before that.
Who pays the new employee?
With a direct hire, the employer pays the new employee: the person goes on your payroll, under your policies and benefits, from the first day. The hiring paperwork and payroll setup sit with your business, not with us. Benefits, raises and reviews follow your own policies, the same as for anyone else you hire.
Do you run background checks?
Digital Storming checks references with the candidate’s permission. If you order a background check from a screening company, federal law gives you, the employer, set steps: a stand-alone written notice, the candidate’s written permission, and specific notices before and after you turn someone down because of the report. The FTC and EEOC guide for employers lists them. How those steps apply to your business is a question for your employment lawyer.
Can you fill roles outside trucking?
Yes. Our team already sources and screens CDL and non-CDL drivers for trucking companies through our truck driver recruitment service, and driver seats are hard to staff. The same sourcing and screening work goes into office, sales, operations and technical searches for businesses across the U.S. The role list above shows the kinds of jobs we take on.
How long does it take to fill a full-time role?
The time it takes to fill a full-time role depends on the role, the pay, your location and how quickly you can interview. We won’t promise a date we don’t control. We will keep the search moving and tell you early if what we’re hearing from candidates says the brief or the pay needs a second look.
What should I ask a permanent staffing agency before hiring one?
Five questions sort agencies quickly. Who writes the job brief, and do I sign it off? (With us, you do.) How do you find people who aren’t applying? (Active sourcing, beyond job boards.) How are candidates screened? (Against the brief you approved, with notes on each person.) Who makes the offer? (You do; the hire joins your payroll.) What does the quote cover? (The scope, the fee and when it is billed, in writing before any work starts.)
What about senior or leadership roles?
For a hire such as a general manager or a head of finance, our executive search service runs a deeper, more private process. Permanent staffing covers most other full-time roles.
